i just quit smoking about a week ago but now im super sick with cold like symptoms. i have the worst sore throat ever. i've been researching it a little bit on the internet and thats one of the withdrawals of quitting. anyone know why? and how long does it last?

I've heard of having withdrawal symptoms after quitting smoking, but I'm not familiar with the sore throat situation. That could be unrelated, and maybe you just picked up some kind of bug. Check with your doctor to see if you could have strep throat or tonsillitis. Antibiotics should clear those conditions up fairly rapidly. And congratulations on quitting that bad habit!
