I'm just curious. I really don't get it. I mean I realize why my grandfathers smoke. They didn't know it was bad for them at first, and, by the time everything came out about the health problems, they were already addicted.
But what makes someone start smoking today? Smoking causing cancer and disease, premature aging, bad breath, yellow teeth, smelly clothes, a raspy voice… plus it's so expensive.
Suggestion:
Pressure. I know it might not seem like a big deal. But what if you had to absolutely do it. What if it counted on your life. I know that might sound silly but a lot of people are forced to smoke cigarettes. My brothers wife was forced to at age 12 because of their culture. They also had to drink. It also might seem cool to some people. Curiosity might take the best of them, that innocent curiosity probably turned into an addiction. Some can easily stop smoking and others can't. Stress is also a big factor. My mother says it takes some of her stress away.
I know these sound like not a good enough excuse but you have to look at it in a different perspective.
