This is Important It About Life or Death?

Dear Lawyers:
About five weeks ago I got in trouble with the law. The cops showed up at my house unexpected with no search warrant. They insisted I. was hiding marijuana in the house. At that timemy husband and I had smoked half a joint, thats it. Even though they had no search warrant I let them inside the house since i had nothing to hide. They found a pipe and a grinder. They cited us that night and nobody got arrested. I went ahead and hired an attorney, they attorney made it so I would show them what house I bought the joint from and they would drop everything, I cooperated with the cops. The day I did this I went ahead and met them where they asked me nothing was a problem until I showed them the house that I bought it from. The officer drove by really slowly and pretty much stopped in front of the house. At that point I told the officer " what are you doing? dont stop theres people outside" the officersaid why? Ever since then I have been feeling very stressed out, i know one of the ladies saw me and i just dont understand how the cop could do that to me, I feel like he put my life in danger. I am not a bad person all i did was smoke half a joint. Can they do this? ever since then I have been very stressed out, I, for some reason keep bumping into these people and and they give me dirty looks. I really feel like my life is in danger…even though I smoked half a joint can the cops put my life in jeopardy over this, i honestly feel like I should leave the state. What can I do about this?

Suggestion:

The cops are sworn to uphold the law, so they can do whatever is legal to that end. While it would be nice if they considered your position, they are not obligated to. You need to keep in mind that this all started because YOU smoked the pot and the cops found out about it. Cops don't just show up at a house unexpectedly to look for pot. Somehow, some way they had reason to believe you guys had weed there, and you obviously did. Lay off the weed, watch your back and quit stressing.
