Hi. Can sinusitis cause your ears to ring. I have had ongoing problems for about 3 months or so. If i steam and blow my nose hard or "snort" in covering one nostril at a tiime the ringing will ease off for a bit (not fully go) then over a period of about an hour or so will return again, sometimes very loud. The ringing is worse in my left ear. My ear sometimes hurts as well not bad but annoying all the same. I have quit smoking 5 days ago to try to help it, given up coffee and still it does not get better. What else can i try and how can i be sure i have got sinusitis – my doc originally said i had fluid in my middle ear, what is the common sign of this. If i hold onto my nose and try and blow out i eventually hear air coming out after i have nearly blown a few blood vessels – is this a sign i still have fluid or blocked eustation tubes or sinusitis! Help, this is driving me insane
Suggestion:
you have tinnitus and need preferably to see ear, nose and throat doctor, as if ringing in ears persist like this, needs looking at, and be careful what you do, blowing nose and all that as can in some circumstances make things worse. Have tinnitus, sinus, you name it and believe me not funny, as affects my balance, which is awful
your GP can refer you, and don't do anymore before you see someone.

Look up meniers disease on google, and if the symptoms fit, then go see a gp armed with pages printed out. Many docs have never heard of meniers disease, and it is often overlooked.
Meniers can also be a hereditary problem, however, its not until you come across a doc that has dealt with cases before who recognises the symptoms.
Although there is no cure, you can learn to live with it and some treatments are available
