I know what smoking does, and we're aware of the many risks so don't preach what we shouldn't do. We're adults, we made our choice.
Now that I made that clear, my girlfriend is 20 years old and she recently got back into taking birth control. She's a very heavy smoker, while I do it socially. A pack lasts me more than a week, while hers lasts her maybe a day or two, to which then she goes after mine.
I'm really worried of her heavier addiction now since she started taking the pill as there's increased risks. So to not put the heavy stress of not making her quit suddenly, would cutting down help, or would she need to completely stop? If the latter, I know it'd be very difficult for her.
Suggestion:
She needs to stop completely. Even some smoking can lead to the harmful side effects like blood clots etc.
