I quit smoking 2 weeks ago and ever since I have been having panic attacks and other symptoms from 10am until about 4-5pm every day. The doctors said this is normal and it's due to the anxiety which will go away once my body readjusts. One thing that has been curious is why is it when I get happy, excited about my future, these symptoms are worse. I try to stay positive about everything but when I end up thinking about how great I am going to be once I get done and how I am beginning to feel much better, I had mild panic attack symptoms and headache.
Suggestion:
your brain is recovering for sure. when you get excited your brain gets too hyped and doesnt have a cigarette to calm it down so you get a panic attack. Give it time this will go away. do a search on quitting smoking and L-Theanine. it gave me great results in calming me without having to spark a cig
dont turn to benzos to help with your panic attacks as the other user has said. If used a few times they can help though but if you got hooked on smoking then you can just as easily get hooked on benzos
Good for you! get off that lorazepam and if you really are freaking then dont suffer and take it but only you will know when and if to take the lorazepam..it can be a nasty drug
