i have been with the same man for over 16 years. we were involved with drugs and alcohol the entire time, and we had a great relationship until my drinking went overboard. i was sober when i met him. i went to rehab and have been a great sober partner because he still smokes the green and it doesn't bother me. now he is lying to me about where he's been and what he's doing. i do not really question him, and i really am not an overbearing woman. i have never cared if he went to titty bars and such.he is constantly thinking that i am drinking when i am not, and i do not bother him about his green smoking because it is "prescribed". but he recently kicked me out of our house after a fight, and then i call him 2 weeks later and i can hear girls in the background. i asked him nicely 3 times where he was, and he kept telling me he was in our driveway washing his truck. then he gets mad at me and tells me he's in a bar and "i better get used to him lying to me". then he tells me it's over. should i fight for my relationship or just give up?
Suggestion:
I wouldnt bother…you are too nice if you accept that treatment. He kicked you out, goes to strip bars smokes "prescribed" pot and tells you you should get used to being lied to.
Dont bother…obviously you need a new start and BRAVO to you for staying sober.
