My father has been told that he has to quit smoking or he will die. He was given the patch in the hospital after his heart attack last week. Now he says he doesn't want to use it, because it's a crutch, causes bad dreams and gives him extra nicotine that he doesn't need to quit smoking.
If you've used the patch, has it helped you, or is my father just making excuses to start smoking again?
It almost seems like he actually wants to die, and part of me thinks fine if that's what you want do what you want. I'm not arguing anymore.
Suggestion:
The same thing happend to my father inlaw he ended up in the hospital from cutting his fingers off they told him he had to quit smoking because it could cause his fingers that they put back on that they could die, he tried the patch and he said he felt the same way But he ended up quiting cold turkey But I would tell him to go to his doctor and have them perscribe something better to help him quit.
