Hello. What I find really strange is all the conflicting articles, take for example one article from Science Daily where it states that a study was done to show that smoking pot would decrease lung cancer tumor growth in half :
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/04/070417193338.htm
Yet the same website states another article stating that weed can increase the risk of head or throat cancer:
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/1999/12/991220082058.htm
In addition, I am also familiar with the fact that marijuana contains carcinogens. I know there are methods that would reduce the amount of intake from the smoke such as using vaporizers.
Either way, I would appreciate some links or feedback from credible sources that aren't biased against pot smoking, but at the same time understand it's potential risks. Please serious comments and no negativity. Thanks in advance.
Suggestion:
As a student look at the publication dates.
These are 8 years apart!!!!!
It will come in handy to learn how a Study is done. It studies for a particular goal so different studies have different results based on what the Study is for.
I think procon.org and http://www.drugpolicy.org/about/jobsfunding/grants/index.cfm
offer the best resources.
