I have three children, their ages are 6, 5, and 4. My 4 year old was diagnosed a year ago with Kawasaki Disease and as a result developed two heart murmurs, and my 6 year old has asthma. My husband refuses to stop smoking in the house at night while the kids are asleep. I have recently heard that it is illegal in Washington state to smoke in the house if children are present, but I can't find anything to prove it. Does anyone know if that is true? Unfortunately, that might be the only thing that will make my husband grow up and stop his selfish and irresponsible behavior. If you could include a link to the information that would be helpful, as I will have to show it to him in order for him to take it seriously.
Suggestion:
Not illegal, yet. However, Washington state currently has legislation pending regarding "smoke free cars". The first time this was proposed, the bill died in legislature (in 2007).
