I Quit Smoking but I Slipped and Smoked One…help?

Please help…..religious people, athiests anyone…….

i didnt smoke for 5 days but i slipped and smoked one and i feel bad because im also doing this to encourage someone else thats been smoking for 20 years and needs to stop for his health and i know that hes taking me as an example.

1.Should i start counting the days all over or should i ignore trhis one asv it doesnt count?
2. i hate lying should i tell him the truth when he asks ifd i smoked or should i tell him no i didnt so he'll feel like its possible and go into his attempt to quit with the right attitude? either way ill feel guilty shpould i be guilty for lying or for discouraging him because i failed?

please help
God bless you

Suggestion:

Just learn from the experience and you're a winner in the non-smoker group.

Count the days from when you were last smoking like every hour, not from the last slip. That's what I do.

Well done on getting free!
