I Barely Smoke, and My Breathing Has Been Affected Dramatically?

i smoke six or less cigarettes a day, not too bad. lately i've been wheezing and having a bad cough and shortness of breathe. my lungs feel almost like they've shrunk, like i can't hold much air in them. but i do currently have a horrible cold. i know that cigarettes are horrible for u and they're bad i don't need a lecture, but could these symptoms be from smoking?

Suggestion:

You might want to make an appointment to see your Primary Care Provider…sounds like you could have pneumonia or bronchitis. I can't see or talk to you to know for sure, but if you have been coughing up sputum, have increased shortness of breath, or have had a fever, these are both definate possibilities.

While your symptoms are not caused by smoking alone, smoking cigarettes increases your risk for respiratory infections, and can make infections more severe or harder to treat.
