hey im a smoker . ive been smoking since i was 18 and ive loved every moment of it. but of course i know all the effects. this is a brief family history of who smokes in my family:
me
my sister
my husband
my mom
my dad
my brother
and my husbands mom.
i know its like a whole family of smokers.
i stopped during my pregnancy for a while. i had to stop and i was craving for months.
last week i got back to it..oh god it was lush. today was day 1 of quitting.
i but 6 packs of gum and have been chewing it all day.
i only smoke around 15 a day, but about 2 hours ago, i had to have one, i had too!
i've tried the gum technique, what other ways are there?
Suggestion:
First of all in my view it all or nothing. Even a single cigarette reinforces the deeply embedded nicotine pathways in the brain. Second just 15 a day is an oxymoron.
I would suggest combining a patch with in inhalator, ideally via a smoking cessation clinic which provides psychological back up as well.
