i had bronchitis back in February and my cough was really bad. it bruised my ribs. and ever since then ive had this cough that wont go away. it feels like an annoying tickle in my throat and sometimes its a little hard to breathe. i dont have asthma or any other disease. my dad smokes around me a lot too so i dont know if maybe its second hand smoke. why wont my cough go away and how do i get rid of it?
Suggestion:
Sometimes it's quite hard to loosen the phlegm or mucus in the throat, and I believe this is what your problem is. No, second-hand smoke isn't causing it, but it is affecting it quite a bit, as you can profess.
Because doctors are so intent on scaring people away from using salt, they (people) don't learn beneficial advice about using salt. Along with its many other beneficial functions in the body, salt breaks up mucus and congestion. The first link below gives you an idea of the other important functions salt has in the body, and what problems you could experience by following the doctors' advice and cut back on your salt consumption.
Also, water is needed to keep the airway passages adequately moisturized. This another important substance that the medical profession downplays. In saying "drink plenty of fluids", they're telling you that anything you drink will supply you with adequate water. This is not true. Soft drinks, coffee, and other alternatives are actually diuretics that pull out as much as 50% more water that they provide, and are major contributors to dehydration. The body functions on water and won't accept anything else.
You can fix your problem easily enough by clicking on the second link below and following the protocol shown on that page.
