im 19 weeks pregnant and dying for a cigarette… i didn't have any pregnancy symptoms from the beginning and people say that i will hate its smell… but the opposite is happening to me… im like (please just 1 cigarette).
Suggestion:
It is very challenging. I smoked everytime i talked on the phone , drove in the car, got excited, got mad… anything made me smoke a cig. Im 9 weeks now i havent had one in 4 days!! its hard chew some gum, try and get your mind off it. Luckily the smell of my husband and every other smoker around me was enough for me to quit… i cant believe i used to smell like that. Just think a placenta of a non-smoker is pink and pretty (well not pretty but healthy looking) a smokers is holy and very scary looking. your baby loves you more than that cancer stick!! good luck , you can do it!!

Is the fact that it's going to hurt your child not enough? Just don't buy any more!
Since I don't smoke, I can't tell you how to quit smoking.
But I hope you're joking with the whole "please just 1 cigarette" thing. That growing child inside of you should be your motivation to quit smoking. There are so many health risks for you and your child when it comes down to smoking, even with second hand smoking.
Personally, I just found out I am pregnant and the SECOND that test said "pregnant" I stopped cold turkey. I know it doesn't sound easy, but I think it would be the best bet. I constantly want a cigarette and it's driving me CRAZY. You just have to think about the baby and just ignore the cravings. Try lollipops or gum any time you want a cigarette. I know it sounds silly, but it really works. Congrats and good luck.
I don't smoke so I can't tell you how to quit you just have to do it for your baby. You have a choice to take the smoke into your body and lungs, your little one does not. It's something that you have to make your mind up and say I'm not going to smoke for the well being of my child. I have gestational diabetes and I don't want to give myself a shot every night or prick my finger four times a day but I am for my baby's health, and in the end isn't that what it comes down to?
i also quit cold turkey the minute i found out i was pregnant. its mind over matter. your baby is the most important thing, not your nicotine cravings. good luck.
