I want to know how i can make my dad give up smoking, asap. He's been warned that he could get mouth cancer if he continues, but he won't listen to anybody and ignores the ads on tv. Every time I see those anti-smoking ads I end up stressed and have horrible dreams about it and sometimes even cry( He doesnt know about that). Its affecting everybody and he's throwing our money away on it. I know the decision has to come from him, but seriously there has to be another way to get him to stop. Can anybody please help me?

Try having a serious talk with him. Explain how you feel and don't be afraid to show emotion. My friend's father was a heavy smoker for years, but my friend talked with him and, although he still smokes, he is slowly cutting back. He went from smoking 3-4 packs per day down to about 1, some days even less. Its a long process and you'll have to be patient with him.
talk to him about it and cry while trying to convince him that he needs to stop smoking,. if you don't talk to him about it he won't listen to anyone and he doesn't then he'll get mouth cancer.. if that doesnt work try not to talk to him for a few days maybe then he'll feel guilty for not listening to you i know it sounds stupid but you have to do something.
