I want to know how i can make my dad give up smoking, asap. He's been warned that he could get mouth cancer if he continues, but he won't listen to anybody and ignores the ads on tv. Every time I see those anti-smoking ads I end up stressed and have horrible dreams about it and sometimes even cry( He doesnt know about that). Its affecting everybody and he's throwing our money away on it. I know the decision has to come from him, but seriously there has to be another way to get him to stop. Can anybody please help me?
Suggestion:
Has your Dad ever tried Nicorette gum? I've been using it for a while now and it works amazingly! I haven't had a craving for a smoke in a while, and I use to smoke a half pack a day. I just wish I could get rid of the asthma I now have
But some people have different results so he may want to try it first. Nicorette is giving out free samples on their website, just look for the small free sample icon and it'll lead you through a series of steps, or go to the direct link http://www.freesamplesfromheaven.com/nicorette-chewing-gum-free-sample
Good luck, I hope that helps

take his cigs.
you just have to quit smoking and all.best advice
Hi there I know how you feel. My mum has been smoking since she was 15 and she'll be 49 this year. That's a lot of years of smoking! And I also smoked for 4 years. But I found a way to make her quit..and of course myself too!
I found this product that has helped both her and I quit smoking traditional cigarettes entirely. It's the electric cigarette from greensmoke. It is a battery run "cigarette" that looks and feels like you are smoking a regular tobacco cigarette, but without any of the chemicals, tar, ash and odour! The tip of the "cigarette" really lights up and when you exhale you breathe out what looks like cigarette smoke (It is actually just water vapour and some flavour). So you still get the illusion of smoking. You recharge the cigarette by plugging it into your computer, your electrical socket in the wall, or even your car!
There are quite a few brands of electric cigarettes out there. But in my research and trials I have found greensmoke to be the most "real" and satisfying product. My sister bought a cheap version on-line and I tried it when I went to go visit her and hardly any "smoke" comes out and it wasn't satisfying at all! and guess what! she's still a smoker so it obviously hasn't worked for her either. I will have to introduce her to this now that I've have found a good product.
How it works is instead of "burning" the nicotine like a traditional cigarette. The e-cigarette contains an atomizer that vaporizes the nicotine instead. So you still get your nicotine hit. The greensmoke electric cigarette comes in a few flavours including Tobacco, chocolate, vanilla, apple, coffee and strawberry. It also comes in different strengths just like a regular cigarette so you can get 8mg or 6mg or 16mg etc.
In the long run you also save money. The initial purchase of the battery part is $49.95 American. and then you need a charger etc. You can simply purchase the starter pack for about $150 American and it includes 2 electronic cigarettes, the charger and 5 extra cartridges (the filter part). The e-cigarette is under warranty as well so all you ever need to replace is the filter cartridges which last about as long as a packet of cigarettes. They cost about $15 American for a pack of 5. That's equivalent to roughly 5 packs of cigarettes which would usually cost you around $60!! So it works out to be a lot cheaper.

and if you want to buy one you can also buy it there. Give it a go. I did and am now a proud non-smoker
Electric cigs work great for quitting. If you like your money, don't waste it on a "designer brand" like Yoshi did.
Don't pay more than $50 for a basic starter kit. Also you want a brand that is sold by many vendors so you can shop around for parts and accessories. Some very popular starter units are the Joye 510 (3 piece unit) and the KR808D-1 (2 piece unit).
Read electric cigarette forums, the most heavily advertised products are jokes. You are getting no better value for your money. They've spent millions on advertising-they set up ecig review sites that are fake, they pay people to post responses for them and when you use the link or discount code to buy the person gets paid. Its shady.
Refill liquid is a different story, there is a huge difference in them-You do get what you pay for.
It doesnt matter if that guy thinks Green Smoke is a "designer brand", because its really the only e-cig worth paying for. The ones that use refill liquid are rubbish!
Green Smokes vapor looks and feels just like real smoke, not some piece of junk that you have to heave on while it squirts nicotine liquid into your mouth.
Its better to pay for quality than get an inferior product.
Buy your dad a kit that works right the first time. Green Smoke has a 30 day money back guarantee and 1 year warranty. If your dad is a heavy smoker, they have 16mg cartridges. No mess, no fuss. Cant beat that.
well i have a stop smoking lens (web-page) at Squidoo

where there are very nice graphic pictures of deformed faces from various oral cancers, gives you an idea on how bad things can get. Some people may find such pictures shocking if they are not aware of the reality and severity of cancers.
Aside from graphic images it also goes over various methods for quitting smoking like hypnosis, herbal remedies, electronic cigarettes, stop smoking programs and the like.
Electronic cigarettes could be a very good substitution for tobacco cigarettes as they can replace the nicotine cravings (with actual nicotine of course) and the habit of the action of the smoking ritual.
