How Can I Become More Healthy After Smoking?

ok so im 16, and given up smoking after 3 years. i know i know… i smoked like 2 a day. anyway what steps can i take to attempt to restore my body?

Suggestion:

Congratulations on quitting smoking! Because you're young you have done very little damage to yourself and your chances of getting cancer or lung disease later will be greatly reduced because you've stopped now.

In time your body will repair most of the damage on it's own.

Improving your cardiovascular system through exercise will help you recover most quickly and increase your lung capacity. Start slowly with cycling or jogging and work your way up as your cardio capacity improves.

You may notice yourself coughing more often in the coming days as the cilia, which are small hair-like projections in the airway, come back to sensation and begin to do their job of moving particulate and other pollution our of your airways. This is normal and it will pass.

You may want to invest in a teeth whitener if you have acquired some discoloration from smoking.
