I am riddled with OCD (not kidding). Although, granted I'm eccentric, my OCD comes in very weird forms. But when I took up smoking 2 years ago (combined with my meds), I calmed down, and my thoughts weren't RACING, like they are now. I quit 2 weeks ago, and every day is getting worse. My hands are literally trembling from the restlessness as I type this. Here are a few of my OCDs that have come back:
1- I re-arrange things. But I'm never satisfied. After 45 mins to an hour, I must re-arrange again.
2- It's kinda like tourettes, but I have to say what's on my mind (without thinking it through first)
3- I go on spending sprees.
4- Can't sit still
Suggestion:
What I did was a few things. I drank Gatorade and sucked citrus lozenges constantly. Also chewed watermelon trident. I carried lozenges and trident in my pocket every day. I also worked out. Once in the morning, once in the afternoon. Morning was jumprope, roadwork, shadowboxing and either abs/pullups/pushups. Afternoon was weights at a gym. Keeping my mind occupied and my body on the move was the key.
