Have You Been Able to Quit Smoking Using an "electronic" Cigarette Device?

My brother's tried all sorts of stop-smoking aids and is considering an expensive electronic cigarette device that appears to dispense small amounts of nicotine. They've been advertised a lot on TV infomercials. They seem to be expensive and I can't find much on how effective they might be. Thanks.

Suggestion:

They don't work for everybody but they're great for lots of smokers to swap. It's important to persevere, there's a learning curve and it takes a while to get the right technique. One of the best ways to quit is to get support from an online community, such as an independent forum, while giving the ecig a try. You can find some here: http://vapersnetwork.org/node/9

I suggest getting advice from independent enthusiasts there about suppliers and products too, there are a lot of overpriced inferior products around. You can get a decent kit for under $50.
