I know there is a link, but I want to know how explicit it is and how much a guarantee you will get it if you smoke. The reason I ask is, there are many young smokers. It seems like more people smoke than not but no one seems to be worried about the risk.
Now I know there is a link to smoking and cancer, but I am curious how much of it is media and whether the true link is more comparable to the "research" that found pot noodles, mobile phones and televisions give you cancer.
My dad is approaching 70 and has been a heavy chain smoker since he was 13. Strong as an ox, no cancer ever and I am just not too sure why someone like that who smokes so damn much for such a long time is not in his grave already.

Cancer, AIDS and squirrel AIDS.
