I read all the time that pot is a gateway drug that leads to cocaine and heroin abuse and that's why people don't want to legalize it. I for one have never done heroin or cocaine and I have been a smoker for many years. This is only for the people that have smoked pot and be truthful. I believe they will never legalize pot in the USA not because of the danger,, you can buy the 3 most dangerous product ever made in most walmart stores and mini marts in America (cigarettes alcohol and guns) between them they kill 400,000+ Americans every year. They will never legalize it because there is more money in keeping it away from people then letting them have it. The courts would lose money from fines, the jails would lose money because of less prisoners, the police would lose money because of less personnel needed. Everyone that profits from people being busted for weed would lose more than taxes would make if they legalized it. So they tell us it's a gateway drug and they are protecting us but at the same time there is a bar or a restaurant on every street corner in America serving alcohol and they know everyone buying it drove there and will go home in a car. It doesn't make sense.
