Decided to Stop Smoking and Feel No Withdrawal Symptoms- Why?

been smoking regular cigarettes for about 6 months- though im only just 16- i started because i was feeling suicidal, i wanted to get ridiculously drunk and i couldnt get any alcohol, but my friend said would i like to try a cigarette, and it made me happier for that moment, and since then ive smoked around 5-6 cigarettes a day, although i have had to skip lunch etc to afford it, and then today i woke up about half ten, and told myself i wont smoke until i really really need one, becasue mostly i just smoke without waiting long, yet its been 8 hours, which is the longest i go when im awake and although i want one- probably out of habit, i dont feel like i need one, is that normal when i havet had one since about 6 o clock yeasterday and usually i chainsmoke?

Suggestion:

You don't "usually chain smoke". Chainsmokers go through 3-4 packs a day. You barely smoke at all which may explain why you think you're not experiencing withdrawal.

Be careful; if you think "hey, this is easy to quit, I can do it any time", once the nicotine levels build to a point where you're dependent on it, you're screwed.
