I have been experiencing a tightness kind of pressure in my chest all day today. I took a no-doz this morning and think that may be the cause even though I have taken them before with no real side effects (no other caffeine consumed). My shoulder also kind of hurts so I am thinking it may be a nerve or something. When I force myself to cough or take really deep breaths or push on the spot it feels better a little.
Does anyone have a guess at what this could be? Maybe a way to relieve it?
I am 25, 132lbs 5;7", eat healthy (no high fat diet), I do smoke but quitting so less than half a pack a day, on birth control pills (just started, one reason I'm quitting smoking) my blood pressure is great and so is my cholesterol.

jazzmama0407 – Your description seems likely to be a muscle strain, perhaps of the pectoralis or chest muscle on the left side. With your age, good state of health, absence of any signs of an infection, it is not likely to be anything more serious. Maybe you pulled that muscle during some activity or heavy coughing. For the first 24r hours, a cold pack on the sore spot (inside a hand towel) may help. After 24 hours, local heat or a very warm shower spray or hot pack should offer some relief.
