He's a smoker. And what's even worse? He's a doctor. He knows the dangers of smoking and everything but he still smokes around the house and now, my mom seems to have gotten an infection in her throat and according to my mom's doctor, if my father keeps smoking inside, it could be dangerous. My dad's been a smoker since he was 18 and I don't expect him to stop soon but he's hurting me and my mother with all this crap. It's unfair. I don't want my mom to die. I don't know who to talk to because dad doesn't care, mom lets dad do whatever he wants and I'm just stuck in between. Help?
Suggestion:
Your dads been smoking longer than you've been alive so don't start pressurizing him to pack up straight away. It's his body so he can make whatever choices he wants to do with it, even if it is wrong. He knows the consequences of smoking and if that doesn't help him stop, nothing you say will. I'm a smoker but I'm restricted to either outside or with my head sticking out an open window. That way it don't harm those around you, plus you get some fresh air
