Can You Get Liver Disease if You Have a Family History of Living to a Very Old Age, and You Don't Smoke or Dri?

smoke or drink? i did use to drink 6 pops a day, but now its down to like 1 or 2 a day. because ive been experiencing tingling in the legs, arms, feet, and toes lately. just a VERY small tingling. i had a panic attack 5 days ago…

Suggestion:

Anyone can get any disease at any time during their life with or without a family history. A family history just means that you could have a higher risk of getting a particular disease if the disease is known to affect people with the same genetics.

But if you lead a healthy lifestyle, your liver should be just fine for your entire life. There would be no reason to expect anything else. It's not 100% guarantee that nothing will happen, but statistically, you should be fine. Only a tiny portion of people get liver disease out of the entire population, and often there is a reason for getting it such as viral hepatitis and alcoholism. There are some people who do get it for no apparent reason, but that is extremely rare.
